Commercial Art & Design Services

Commercial Art, Pop Art, and  Artistic Design Services

We started out as artists and still hold those truths to be self evident!

We are artists through and through, designing, creating, and solving problems visually.  As commercial artists, we work in areas that are as diverse as business itself and have extra training in the “science of art” if you will.  Many new business start-ups and even some well established companies don’t realize there is an actual process to developing a good logo and even more a process to making all your visibility efforts cohesive.  It’s essential to involve a commercial artist from the very beginning of your creative process.

imageProjektions provides art services for all types of business.  From simple logos to complex corporate identity and package visibility projects; imageProjektions can deliver spot on visuals that are budget friendly as well.  We know how expensive it is to set up a business and we are happy to work with you to make your goal and stay at a comfortable price point.

Our creative process is unique and involves lots of interaction between you and us.  We believe that close interaction with you allows us to become part of your project and see how you see the end result.

 What is a Commercial Artist?

Commercial artists use their artistic talents and skills to design, promote, display, package, and advertise companies, non-profit organizations, products, festivals, books and government agencies. They develop design plans for CD-ROMs, websites, logos, stationery, print ads, signage, film and video, diagrams, posters, flyers and brochures. They put pictures on t-shirts, they oversee the layout of annual reports, magazines and newspapers, they design movie sets, they even work designing furniture. They create lettering, illustrations and medical and computer graphics. Commercial artists are hard at work with practically every company out there, working in a variety of ways to bring information to the public in interesting, exciting ways.

Traditionally, when a commerical artist set out to design a logo or organize a magazine ad, pencils, paper and a lot of imagination were all the tools necessary. However, in today’s computer generated world, commercial artists are now working with computer design software to complete the work.

Commercial artists work for magazines or newspapers, retail companies, advertising agencies, graphic design firms or as freelance designers. They work closely with their clients, who assign them a project. The artist works alone or in a team developing a design concept, which must be approved by the client before the designing can begin.

Small projects can take only days to complete, while larger projects can take months. In a large company, artists may only focus on one area of a project, like layout, or design concept, but freelancers or artists with smaller companies must be versatile enough to do it all.

Why is a Commercial Artist Different than a Graphic Artist?

Commercial artists are trained in traditional artistic techniques as well as graphic art presentations.  Their training covers theory of design and real world implementation of design and marketing for product or brand visibility.  Commercial artists generally have a 4 year plus degree.  Graphic artists are specifically trained in graphic presentations.  Logos produced by graphic artists tend to lack foundational elements that make them lasting brand ambasasdors because the Graphic artist is not trained in commercial branding and product visibility techniques.
